Writing Christmas cards just isn’t happening for me this year.
Even in past years, I really only get a few out. It can become such a guilt thing. Probably it is supposed to be that way. Or is it?
Blogging seems a better way. Some might say it’s too impersonal. That may be. But it least it is some indication of a pulse.
So if you are waiting on pins and needles as I know you are, for a Christmas card from me. Rest assured. And check my blog.
To help me to get into the Christmas spirit of things I am reminded of a video that somehow relates to what Christmas has become in today’s world of dysfunctional families.
The best part of this video clip is at the very end where Carol Burnett screams “Merry Christmas”!
So click here and go to Youtube and advance the video to about the 7 minute marker. I know you all have a lot to do so I have gone straight to the point and cost you reading this blog entry plus 40 seconds. Still cheaper and less work for me than a card and stamp.
Or if your are young and Carol Burnett is an utterly new experience for you. Take time to watch the entire clip. Learn from it and, just try to not be like it. It’s scary what can be in our genes.
Merry Christmas.
